Arriva il radar Rfid: e l'uomo diventa bestiame..
arrives radar Rfid
15 May 2006
ImageUn reader can locate in real time
dozens of tags within the same range. E '
what is about to begin offering the South African society
Trolley Scan, which has its
RfidRadar.
With growing range of tags and readers, in many applications
happens that more tags are found in
scope of the player (and should be read)
in a given time. Readers, however, are not
able to locate the position of the different tags, as well
to identify them. This is what makes
TrolleyScan device, in which the reader, as well as
read the information on the tag, it continuously sends
a signal that is reflected from the tag itself
and measures the time it takes for that signal
turn back, according to the principle of operation of any
radar.
In this way it can monitor the tags
within a radius of 100 meters, with a resolution of less than half a meter, updating
positions every second. Thanks
use of three different transmission channels, the
position of each tag is identified
according to a three-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system, and
can then be displayed on a screen. According to its producers
this system can
find several important applications, from warehouse management
the control of livestock on farms, up to
hospitals or control the movement of luggage at airports
